Summer at Johns Hopkins is Johns Hopkins University’s (JHU’s) pre-college offering for ambitious high school students seeking university-level learning from world-renowned professors and an early introduction to topics specific to certain majors, disciplines of study, and careers. The Psychological Profiling Online program is one such course in which students learn the strengths and limitations of psychological methods employed by forensic professionals who assist police in criminal investigations.

Psychological Profiling Online Course structure:

Study clinical cases of serial offenders, spree killers, disgruntled employees, and terrorists
Explore legal and ethical issues, including racial profiling, profiling versus pathway-to-violence methodology, and other controversies
Two-week online program, no prerequisites

Summer at JHU programs span residential (overnight), day camp (in-person), and online offerings across industries and areas of study and aspects of STEM, and some of those programs do offer college credit.
