I AM O’KAH! programming’s mission is to empower Baltimore, Maryland’s at-risk and underprivileged youth with the skills, tools, resources, mentorship, education, and financial resources to become leaders of tomorrow, achieve academic excellence, and overcome socio-economic barriers in their pursuit of success.
We serve the Baltimore community by providing academic, social, and financial resources, help students be resilient, and promote economic independence to equip these youth to pursue higher education, despite their situation. We have provided over $45k of scholarships and have provided over 425 hours of college-focused academic planning to over 697 Baltimore college-bound youths.
What our curriculum entails:
- Provides tangible life lessons
- Equip our youth to excel academically
- Explore self-reliance through learning entrepreneurship
- Teach them to earn, manage and invest money to achieve financial security and lead lives fueled by confidence in their vision and purpose
