
Adolescents and teens interested in volunteering who also love animals or are considering pursuing future degrees and careers in the behavioral sciences or cognitive therapy space may be a good fit to volunteer for Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding, an equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) organization for individuals with physical, mental, emotional, and developmental disabilities to enhance their quality of life.
There are several types of volunteering options, from those that deal directly with the horse caretaking to those that are more operational. Every interested volunteer who’s at least 14 years old and willing and able to attend the volunteer orientation and training should be able to find the best-fit volunteer option that suits their interests and skills.

Circle of Hope’s EAAT program continues to support and meet the high standards set by PATH International, the national organization for equine therapy programs. While located in Barnesville, MD the program has served the Montgomery County community, Frederick County community, and the greater Washington, DC area for over 22 years and continues to have a beneficial impact on the lives of more than 200 people annually.
